Andy Leleisi’uao featured in ’10 exhibitions to see in November’

Born in 1969, Andy Leleisi’uao grew up in Mangere, South Auckland. He was awarded a scholarship to attend AUT and received a Master of Fine Arts with honours in 2002. He has exhibited throughout New Zealand and has been involved in solo and group exhibitions in Australia, Rarotonga, Germany, Taiwan, and the USA.

Andy’s current exhibition Dispersed Humanoids at PG Gallery192 features in Warren Feeney’s article of top 10 exhibitions you must see in November.

“Samoan-New Zealand artist Andy Leleisi’uao’s title for his current exhibition may suggest a world in which the human race is a scattered population, yet the more time spent with these new paintings, the more conversations and companionships become apparent. The artist’s silhouetted figures are like a jigsaw puzzle (almost literally), one resolved by the busyness and attention they accord to, and share with, one another.”
-Warren Feeney

‘Dispersed Humanoids’ runs until 29 November.
