Nigel Buxton will give a floor talk on his exhibition WILLOW which is currently on view at PG gallery192. This show features recent works which combine photomontage images of willows with paint and pastels, and drawings of willows done thirty years ago that have never before been exhibited.
The artist will discuss how a thirty year gap in approaching this subject has changed his method of thinking and practice. He all also talk about the importance of drawing in his work and the peculiar tensions set up by combining mechanically produced images with traditional oil and pastel intrusions by hand.
Small catalogue available.
