Christchurch born and raised, Tony Bond has been exhibiting his object-based work throughout New Zealand since the year 2000. Having initially studied at CPIT School of Art and Design in the 1980’s he later studied Fine Arts at the Wanganui School of Art, graduating in 1991. In 2004 Christchurch Art Gallery presented his exhibition Squeeze and in 2014 included him in the group exhibition Burster Flipper Wobbler Dripper Spinner Stacker Shaker Maker.
His work is held in numerous public and private collections including:  Te Papa Tongarewa, Wallace Collection, Auckland Museum, Waikato Museum and Christchurch Art Gallery Te Puna O Waiwhetu.
